Rules

General rules

Be respectful to all players, old and new. No bullying, hate speech, or harassment of any kind.
Exploiting glitches is strictly prohibited - inform staff about glitches immediately.
Be considerate with claiming with ProtectionStones. Don't take up large amount of land you are not using/going to use. Do not place them to close to other players bases/builds.
Do not bypass any punishment by staff, such as mutes or bans.
Do not steal from other players or community areas.
Respect community areas, build what you want but respect them at all times.
Always replant any crops you take from community farms.
Respect players land claims and avoid building to close to other players without their consent.
Do not attack any player without their consent. Goes without saying to also not kill any player without their consent, doing so may lead to a ban from the server.
Do not claim any building or farm in unclaimed land that is not yours.
PvP is only allowed when both players agree to it.
Keep the world clean - do not dig random holes or place random blocks. If you want to mass collect items then head to the resource world.
Do not build anything offensive.
Do not build or do any action that may directly harm the servers performance - such as creating a lag machine.
Staff reserve the right to punish any player that breaks these rules.

Chat rules

We are a server built for a mature player base so non-PG language is acceptable in the chat - within reason. That said there are still some chat rules.

Do not advertise other servers.
Do not post IPs of other servers.
Do not say anything racist, homophobic or generally toxic.

Build rules

Do not build within 100 blocks of another players base/build without permission. This rule does not apply to the spawn area.
Do not negatively mess with the public end portal (-1970, 993). You can build anything at the portal site to make it look prettier but do not prevent players from entering the portal in any way.
Do not place any ProtectionStones within 250 blocks of spawn (0, 0). The spawn area is a free build communal area, meaning players can build anything they want there, and we want to ensure that spawn stays free for players to build. Placing ProtectionStones within the above stated region may result in a ban from the server.

The buildings listed below are not allowed to be built on CommunalCraft.

Duping machines - gravity block dupers using the end portal are allowed to dupe ONLY sand, gravel or concrete powder.
Lag machines or any machine which has a negative effect on server performance.
Ugly structures that are not part of any builds, eg; lava casts or big holes.
Obscene or inappropriate builds.

Griefing and stealing rules

Do not destroy (grief) other players builds, whether they are in community build areas or in their own land.
Do not alter players builds without their permission.
Do not take anything from chests that aren't yours unless they clearly state you can take from them - eg; community chests at spawn.
There is a ZERO tolerance to griefing and stealing. If you are caught griefing or stealing you will be handed an instant permanent ban without any chance of appeal.

Hacks and client modifcation rules

Do not use any hacked client or standalone hack, such as x-ray.
AutoClickers are strictly banned. Use of an autoclicker will result in a 1 week temporary ban.
X-ray resource packs are strictly prohibited.
Performance boosting mods such as Optifine or Sodium are allowed.
Minimap and world map mods such as Xaero's Minimap are allowed.

Spawn rules

Spawn is a free build place, meaning you can build anywhere and build anything you want - the ultimate community project! There are still a few rules in place that must be followed at all times.

Do not place any ProtectionStones within 250 blocks of the world spawn (0, 0).
Do not modify the spawn area (the spawnpoint 0,0, and the portals) or the spawn arena without permission.
Do not take up to much land for your builds, we want everyone to be able to enjoy a piece of spawn to build something of their own!
Only build shops in the shopping district, no other builds like farms for example.
Do not grief or modify/edit anyone's build without permission.
Do not take anything from any chests unless they state you are allowed to.

Shopping District rules

Each player is currently allowed only one plot.
Players are welcome to share plots and co own a shop together. Any disputes about sharing payment from shop sales are up to the players to sort out.
If you already own your own shop plot, you can co own other stores with other players but the main owner of the shop plot must be a player who doesn't already own a shop plot.
Only build within the constraints as shown by the red concrete. You CAN build on top of the red concrete so the max sized shop building can be 16x16 blocks.
Do not build higher than 22 blocks, this is currently y level y86, without permission from admins.
Build a path into your shop and connect it to the main path.
Follow and respect the price index on the items we have set a price on.
From the time you claim a plot, you have 1 week to build you store and start selling items otherwise the plot will be put up from grabs again.
Limit the use of lag enduing entities, such as armor stands or item frames. This helps ensure all players, regardless of hardware, can happily shop in the shopping district.
You cannot build any farms, bases, or have any mobs inside your shop plot.
The Shopping District is located at the spawn island. The Shopping District area is ONLY for shops, you are free to build anything you want within any other part of the spawn island/spawn town.
Players are welcome to build and open shops else where in the world, eg; at their base.
